Netherlands-West-Friesland 1759 NGC AU58 Ducaton/Rider SOLD
An important and popular type, with a majestic knight on horseback and a total of five impressive lions seen in the design. Large and heavy coins, these were exported heavily to Asia. The majority of the early dates (pre 1780) come from shipwrecks, and non-shipwrecked examples in high grade (such as this coin) are very scarce. Very pleasing with very little actual wear.
